Today is Katakana Tuesday and today’s word is プリン.

Do you know what it is?

The word comes from the English word “pudding” but what is called プリン (purin) in Japan is usually called “crème caramel”. Although there are variations, most プリン (purin) do not use any flour (starch) or gelatine to set. It purely uses the setting ability of eggs!
