Today’s first #kanji is #六. When I teach this to little people, I always say “a hat （亠） and a mustache （八）” and you have to leave a gap between the hat and the mustache! 亠 is a radical and is usually called #なべぶた but this character is listed under 八 （#はちがしら）.
Meaning: 6 (six)
六（ロク、む）: 6 (six)
六時（ロクジ）: 6 o’clock
六本（ロッポン）のペン; 6 pens
双（すご）六（ロク）: sugoroku – a traditional board game in which pieces are advanced by throwing dice, a Japanese backgammon
宿（やど）六（ロク）: my old man, my hubby (an endearing way of referring to one’s husband)
二六時中（ニロクジチュウ）: around the clock, night and day, at all times (these days people say 四六時中（シロクジチュウ）, but 二六時中 was the original expression)
