Today’s #kanji is #写, which is made of #わかんむり(冖) and 与 (to give) but this combination does not seem to have much to do with the original meaning of “moving” as its original form is 寫, which is a combination of うかんむり(宀)which has something to do with a house and 舃 (shoes). 写 now is used with somewhat a different meaning.
