Last 2 Fridays, I talked about expressions with a cat in it, so this week, I will do the same with a dog.
The dog in the photo is more likely to be a 警察犬 as:
警察（けいさつ）の犬 = a police informer
警察犬（けいさつけん） = a police dog, a sniffer dog
夫婦（ふうふ）喧嘩（げんか）は犬（いぬ）も食（く）わない = Even a dog won’t involve itself in an augment between husband and wife.
犬（いぬ）も歩（ある）けば棒（ぼう）に当（あ）たる = [good luck] The dog that trots about finds a bone. / [bad luck] If you stick your neck out, someone will cut it off.
