And if you write them together, it is pronounced as しゅん・か・しゅう・とう
If you want to talk about “late xxx,” you put 晩 (ばん / ban) in front of one of しゅん・か・しゅう・とう, so 晩春(ばんしゅん)、晩夏(ばんか)、晩秋(ばんしゅう)、晩冬(ばんとう).
If you want to talk about “early xxx”, you put 初 (しょ / sho) in front of か・しゅう・とう in case of “early summer,” “early autumn” and “early winter” but for spring, you have to say 早春 (そうしゅん / soushun), as 初春 (はつはる / hatsuharu or shoshun) usually means “new year.” So, 早春(そうしゅん)、初夏(しょか)、初秋(しょしゅう)、初冬(しょとう).
