To answer this question, you need to know 2 sets of words. The first set is for days like today, tomorrow, yesterday, etc.
3 days ago:
2 days ago: おととい/おとつい (the day before yesterday)
1 day ago: きのう (yesterday)
today: きょう
1 day after: あした/あす (tomorrow)
2 days after: あさって (the day after tomorrow)3 days after: しあさって*
The other set of the words you need to know is the day of the week. Please watch this video for that.
So the question sentence: きょうは かようびだから、( )は もくようび です。means: As today is Tuesday, (the day after tomorrow) is Thursday.
The answer is a. あさって
* I wrote above しあさって means “the day after the day after tomorrow” and it is correct for most regions but in the northern end of Honshu, people may call it なのあさって. The tricky bit associated with that is in the Kanto area (around Tokyo), なのあさって means 4 days after today, which I usually call ごあさって! Confusing? So if you are talking about 3 days from today, it may be better to call it by the day of the week (Saturday, Sunday, etc.) or use the date (10th, 11th, etc) to eliminate any confusion!
