I got asked another question the other day. It was about the difference between 変化 and 変更. This one is easier to explain than the difference between 体験 and 経験.
Both 変化 and 変更 are “change” in English and they both can be used as a noun or as a verb with する ending.
The caption sentence, 時代の変化に伴って、法律も変更された。means:
“As times change, laws have also been changed.”
Times change regardless of what you do or what you wish, but laws cannot be changed unless somebody tries to change them. So 変化 is a change which happens regardless of my/your intention and 変更 is a change which somebody has to initiate or execute.
When they are used as a verb, 変化する can be substituted with an intransitive verb 変わる and 変更する (active) can be substituted with a transitive verb 変える, although 変更される (passive) can also be substituted with 変わる.
Hope this helps!
