なadjective: add に

Explanation

An adjective describes a noun whether it’s placed before or after the noun.
On the other hand, an adverb can describe anything but a noun.

Examples with いadjectives

1. しんかんせんは はやいです。(adjective describing しんかんせん)
   Shikansen is fast.
   しんかんせんは はやく はしります。(adverb describing はしります)
   Shinkansen runs fast.
2. おばあちゃんは やさしいです。(adjective describing おばあちゃん)
   Grandma is gentle.
   おばあちゃんは やさしく いいました。(adverb describing いいました)
   Grandma said it gently.
3. パーティーは たのしかったです。(adjective describing パーティー)
   The party was fun.
   プールで たのしく あそびました。(adverb describing あそびました)
   I played cheerfully in the swimming pool.

Examples with なadjectives

1. おじいちゃんは げんきです。(adjective describing おじいちゃん)
   Grandpa is well.
   おじいちゃんは げんきに やまに のぼりました。(adverb describing のぼりました)
   Grandpa climbed the mountain actively.
2. あの もんだいは かんたんでした。(adjective describing あのもんだい)
   That question was easy.
   せんせいは かんたんに もんだいを ときました。(adverb describing ときました)
   The teacher solved the problem easily.
