Tempura

Tenpura is a deep fried seafood or vegetable in a very light batter. It is one of the most well-known Japanese dishes but it originates in Portugal. When it’s written in Roomaji, it’s spelt as “tenpura” with an “n”, rather than “tempura” as it’s pronounced.
