BBC produced a brilliant article about the Japanese word “tsundoku” 積読（つんどく）. Please read it at https://www.bbc.com/news/world-44981013
つんどく is particulary funny because it sounds very much like a casual verb, つんでおく(keep [things] piled up).
Anyway, I thought this might be a good opportunity to introduce a few words which end in 読（どく）
黙読（もくどく）- silent reading
音読（おんどく）- reading out loud
朗読（ろうどく）- reading out loud in front of an audience
通読（つうどく）- reading through
乱読（らんどく）- random reading
精読（せいどく）- intensive reading
They are all nouns but all can be used with する or しますand be used as a verb.
